ATTENTION NYC FOLKS: In case you haven’t noticed, it’s very cold outside. The city has issued a Code Blue Weather Emergency, which means no one who is homeless and seeking shelter will be denied. Should you see an individual who appears to be homeless and in need out in the cold, please call 311, give a description of the person and the location, and an outreach team will be dispatched to assist. You don’t have to do anything else but call. You don’t need to approach the person, or wait for anyone to arrive. Just #Call311

Whether you are in NYC now or not, please copy/paste/share! It doesn’t take much effort on your part and could immensely help those in need.

So as some of you know my family suffered through an apartment fire a week before Christmas and we really want to move but can’t afford to (we can only afford this place as it is because we’ve lived here so long) so we’ve set up a youcaring

https://www.youcaring.com/catherinepenakasandrapenajaleenalluvialunalorenamerc-1055211

The donations would go towards rent + a deposit + replacing the Chromebook my younger sister uses to do homeschooling that we lost in the fire (they suffer from extreme anxiety and other things that make regular schooling impossible for them)

Our landlord hasn’t been any help at all and we really want to move as this is the second fire we’ve been through here. I know we’re all broke gays but if anyone could spare anything or reblog this, I’d really appreciate it!

hi my name is cheyenne and i messed up big time and didn’t return my textbooks on time (because my depression makes me foggy headed and forgetful and then we had a state of emergency in my city caused by 5 FEET of snow which made it impossible for me to get anywhere for the past week) and i got charged over $400 and now i need $404 to pay my rent so if anyone wants to help out even like a dollar would help a ton because i don’t know what i’m going to do and i don’t want to be homeless and i’m freaking out rn!! i take care of adults with intellectual disabilities so i don’t make a lot of money and i have nothing saved. and if you’d like/need something in return i can try to make it happen. reblogging for visibility helps too!

I’m Emily and I’ve just been kicked out of home for being a lesbian, and I’m very mentally ill and just relapsed due to stress, and my boss isn’t giving me enough shifts for me to survive, and I’m begging for help to just live.

If you have any money, even five cents to spare, please think about sending it to my PayPal http://paypal.me/emilygwen

Thank you to everyone who has helped me. You cannot imagine how appreciative I am right now.

Important!!!

Alright, I’ve waited long enough to do this.

I need help guys. I’ve been really sick for the past 9 months and I don’t really know what’s wrong with me. I’ve had twelve hospital stays in this 9 month period. I have unexplained seizures, and with those comes occasional temporary paralysis, wheelchairs, whole weeks of school missed, horrible migraines, mental illness getting worse, and so on. But after some very thorough research, I might be able to find some answers in Florida. There’s one huge problem though: Money. Medical bills are through the roof, my parent recently lost their job, it’s a possibility that we could lose our house, and we don’t eat as much as we should. I live in Illinois, going to (and staying in) Florida will be very expensive. And I haven’t told any teachers or authorities about this because I can NOT be separated from my family and more importantly my mom! I’ve done everything I can to not have to beg on Tumblr (sold most of mine and my family’s possessions, job hunted etc.) but this is my last resort.

If you can donate, this is my PayPal account.

Thank you.

Guys, please. Thank you so much to everyone that reblogged, but I still have nothing. Please, this is a last resort.

The FCC voted to repeal Net Neutrality, but I would like to reiterate to all of you that now is not the time to panic. It’s time to get angry and active, but not time to panic.

Clickbait sites are painting today as the definitive “end” of it all, but it’s not. This shit’s still got to go through the courts.

The FCC has tried to repeal net neutrality twice before, and both times it got repealed by the courts.

The voting public’s support for Net Neutrality is overwhelming. Last I checked, 83% of polled voters nationwide are in support of Net Neutrality staying.

Republican politicians and lawmakers are aware of this overwhelming support and have been voicing their support as well.

Doug Jones victory in Alabama was a wake-up call for Republican politicians, letting them know they are not invincible.

Join the millions of Americans making their voices heard. Contact your representatives. Call them. Email them. Tweet at them. Anything you can do helps. Use the links provided on this website:

This is not a time for panic, it is a time for anger and for action. Let them know that this is not the end, only the beginning.
